Express FX1 is a DirectX plugin for creating sound effects to recorded music. For this purpose, it offers a collection of four streamlined effects -Distortion, Flange/Wah Wah, Reverb and Stutter. The collection is designed specifically for Sound Forge XP 4.5 and Acid Music 1.0.
The graphical user interface is simple and easy to use. It consists of different option boxes with presets, sliders, and other adjustable parameters. In each box, there is an option with which you can create new presets.
The Distortion box has an adjustable Track bar that provides complete flexibility. For added control, a valuable slew rate is used. Distortion includes the following built-in presets- Mangle, Fuzz, Gristle, Spaced.
The Flange/Wah Wah option gives you the opportunity to add classical 60’s to your music. This sound effect can be used only with sounds between 0.01 and 20 Hertz frequencies. It includes different flanges and built-in presets- Bouncing, Slow, Mad, Tremolo.
With Reverb, you will be able to simulate up to 10 quality reverbs representing various acoustical spaces. You also have the option to control the size and liveliness of the listening room and make changes to the dry/wet using the mix fader. Built-in Presets-
Dream-verb, Indoor olympic-sized pool, Small metal room, Small night club.
Stutter enables you to periodically mute parts of the signal from 1 to 200 milliseconds. You can also create pitching, stuttering and ringing effects. Stutter built-in Presets are- Low bell and Walkie-talkie.
Express FX1 1.0 is powerful software that works with any program that supports DirectX. The plugin adds many special effects to any DirectX application and can be installed seamlessly with any application that takes advantage of the DX feature. It runs under any Windows operating system with DirectX Media 6.0 Run Time or later.
